Traverse Theatre
13 June 2011
We’ve been working with the Traverse Theatre, described by the Guardian newspaper as “Scotland’s nerve centre for new writing”, on print and email marketing for ages so, when they decided they needed a new website, we were delighted to be of assistance. They were looking for an easy to edit site that positions the Traverse favourably in relation to its UK peers.
We published the site last week to coincide with the announcement of the theatre’s programme for the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and it does a great job of showcasing the full range of activity on offer, including writers in residence, learning activities and events at the Bar Café. It features clear links to a third party booking system, making it easier for audiences to buy tickets.
Sarah Dee, the Traverse’s Communications Officer (media) said: “The design and functionality is superb, and the guidance and support we received during the site build process was exceptional.”
The plan is for the website to become the main channel for announcing and publicising shows, and for the site to grow into an archive of the Traverse’s performances, with a cross-referenced database of shows, writers, directors and key talent.
