We’re looking forward to some top nosh speakers (sorry – the cheese police let this go on account of the subject matter) at the Scotland Food & Drink AGM in Perth this week. With any luck there’ll be a locally sourced lunch laid on. Mmmmmm.

D8 is also sponsoring the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards 2011 – being held this May. It’s part of an ongoing relationship that began with the redevelopment of www.scotlandfoodanddrink.org, the first stage of which is complete – we’re now developing an improved members’ hub and other digital resources.

This is a significant project for Scotland – food and drink are among the country’s most important exports and the digital resources we’re working on are intended to deliver increased revenue for Scottish producers. All of this has the potential to play a key role in helping Scotland Food & Drink achieve its target of growing the value of the industry to £12.5 billion by 2017.
