I wonder where the word 'news' comes from. I guess it must be new or it wouldn't be relevant and therefore it wouldn't be news so it must be new s.
That just leaves the s. The cynic in me says it stands for shit but it's probably story. Wouldn't it brighten your day, though, if Huw Edwards came on the telly and said "hello, welcome to the new shit" or even better, that really serious intellectual sounding bloke that does the news on radio 4.
Magic. Anyway, here's some new shit about D8/3D8.
D8 News - Greenpeace Business
Mon, 14 Jul 2008
Following a three-way pitch, we were asked to redesign Greenpeace’s business magazine. Aimed at politicians, key decision makers and people who influence and contribute to policies, the magazine is politically motivated in issues and topics.
The magazines have been designed and produced to allow readers access to information and topics easily. They have an editorial look and feel with a mix of photography and illustration that helps to create a change of pace. Designs have steered away from the use of the usual environmental imagery to avoid green-fatigue, instead employing a more radical approach to create impact.
“D8 seem to come up trumps when it comes to cleverness and creativity. Put simply, they give us what we need, in a way that we just didn’t know we needed it…and importantly, this gives us more time and better materials with which to save the world.”
Viola Sampson, Marketing Manager, Greenpeace
