D8 is on the BBC marcomms design roster and is the chosen supplier of BBC Radio 3 design and marketing services. We’ve worked with them for the last couple of years on the Free Thinking Festival, their annual festival of ideas (find out more here).
Free Thinking results for 2010
- The Free Thinking marketing campaign reached 6.2m of BBC target audience (35-54 ABC1) via TV, and 4.3m via Radio
- 3,645 people clicked through the door to attend one of the events at The Sage Gateshead. This represented a 7% increase on 2009
- Drop out rate (due to free ticketing) decreased in 2010 to 15%, down from 23% in 2009
- 9 out of 10 attendees said that they found the event inspiring
- And around 75% of those who attended stated that they were not only more likely to listen to Radio 3 but also more likely to recommend the station to their friends
- 7 out of 10 attendees stated that they had a better overall impression of the BBC as a result of the event
