Celtic Media Festival

4 May 2011

The Celtic Media Festival brings together the likes of the BBC, Channel 4, STV, TG4, S4/C and RTE, among other broadcasters and producers – independent and corporate -, in a celebration of the best of radio, television and interactive media from Ireland, Wales, Brittany, Cornwall, Isle of Man and Scotland. This year the festival returned to its Hebridean roots, welcoming celtic exports of real substance to the Isle of Lewis.

The second day of the festival saw Oscar winning actress Tilda Swinton and iconic actor and film-maker Peter Mullan arrive in Stornoway to share their passion, knowledge and know-how with festival-goers. The festival included workshops, panel discussions and daily screenings of shorts, documentaries and feature films. It all kicked off with a screening of Upside Down: The Creation Records Story, followed by a Q&A with Creation founder and boss Alan McGee.

You can find out about all of the 2011 winners at the website we created – there are a few shots of the festival programme here and we also developed other collateral including bags, t-shirts and digital graphics, not to mention the short animated ident you can see here.
