BBC Free Thinking
16 January 2012
The BBC Free Thinking Festival 2011, held last November, enjoyed a 51% attendance increase over 2010.
We’ve created and delivered the visual identity, campaign and audience engagement resources for BBC Radio 3’s annual festival of ideas since 2009. Audiences have grown steadily in that time, which is good because public engagement and participation are key to its success.
Thousands of people turned out to hear 50 of Britain’s most prominent thinkers at The Sage Gateshead, addressing the subject of ‘Change’. A diverse range of speakers included Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, Feminist Germaine Greer and beer lover William Hague.
