Balfour Beatty Engineering Services delivers unparalleled expert knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering. Part of the Balfour Beatty Group, with revenues of £550 million, BBES has a highly skilled workforce of 3,200 people.

We worked within the BBES brand guidelines to help the internal communications team create a sub brand and supporting campaign with associated resources and collateral. The focus was on making things easier for BBES business development and customer service managers, and ultimately improve the overall BBES customer experience and related processes.

One of our primary tasks was to map and visualise the standard BBES project lifecycle, helping to sharpen the focus on the customer. The identity, and associated guidelines, included a positioning statement, logo, marque, colour palette, type and photographic style.

Dominic Wylie, Communications Consultant at BBES, said: “D8 really locked into our objectives for the brand and the messages we wanted to convey very quickly. They then translated this into a clean and elegant visual style. This made the whole process more straightforward and allowed the BBES communications team to focus on delivering our overall objectives for the customer experience project, knowing the creative side was in safe hands.”
